Brief introduction:Dr. HUANG Zhipeng is currently lecture at the philosophy department of Yangzhou University, Yangzhou, where he teaches Western philosophy. In Jun. 2018, he obtained his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, presenting a thesis on the translation of the Aristotelian theory of the soul and its influence in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Since 2017, he is the collaborator of IEF (Instituto de Estudos Filosóficos Unidade de Investigação & Desenvolvimento, Universidade de Coimbra), Coimbra, Portugal. During 2014-2015, he was a visiting scholar in Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA., U.S.. He published and translated several articles, the topics mainly in the field of Western ancient philosophy, the dissemination of Western learning to the East and the cultural dialogue. e.g. Encounter between Soul and Human Nature, in Frontiers of Philosophy in China.
