主要围绕“农业生态”开展了土壤温室气体排放、碳氮循环、农业生产碳足迹等相关研究工作，研究结果发表在Plant and Soil，Journal of Cleaner Production，Soil Use and Management 等期刊上。同时，对于土地伦理、生态哲学、统计分析以及农业文化等颇有兴趣。
