Profile
Dr. Wang Chao, was born in Chuzhou, Anhui Province. He received his B.S. degree from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2016, and his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University in 2021. He visited and conducted research at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2019. He then joined the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Yangzhou University in July 2021.
His research interest focuses on (photo-/electro-assisted) sustainable chemical technologies, synthesis and precise manipulation of functional nanomaterials, mainly including the application-oriented design and preparation of nanomaterials, such as green nanosynthesis technology and structural engineering, etc.; developing advancing in situ/operando local optical microscopy to visualize important physicochemical reactions/processes; develping high-energy, high-safety lithium/zinc secondary battery technologies; and developing green water treatment and resource recovery technologies such as (electrified) water denitrification, dehalogenation, lithium resource recovery, etc. In recent years, as the first and corresponding author, he has published several SCI papers in high-impact-factor journals like Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U. S. A., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Funct. Mater., Nano Lett. and so on. He received the scientific grants from the Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation, Open Projects of National Key Laboratory and other projects.
