电化学方向
主要研究二次电池电极材料的设计、合成与应用基础研究,研究铁氧化物、金属硫化物等电极材料的体积效应,研究水系锌离子电池的锌沉积与正极转化反应机制。通过结构分析,阐明电极材料性能与结构之间的构效关系,进而改善材料结构,为新型电池材料的开发与应用提供理论依据。研究非铂催化剂的设计与合成,探究其催化性能与催化反应机理,为寻找催化性能优异的非铂材料进行探索,用于电解水析氢等。

超分子化学方向
主要研究超分子主体化合物,如环糊精、杯芳烃、柱芳烃、冠醚等,在各种纳米材料(碳材料、磁性材料、聚合物材料)表面的修饰与组装,利用超分子的识别特性,构建新型超分子功能化纳米材料,并作为超分子吸附剂和超分子传感器,应用于有机污染物、稀散离子、重金属离子的吸附、分离与富集研究,检测环境中的有机污染物、药物分子、重金属离子等。以超分子主体化合物为桥梁,链接贵金属纳米纳米粒子,应用于燃料电池电极材料、催化反应等。
