Dr. Jun Liu is currently a professor at College of Food Science and Engineering, Yangzhou University (China). He received his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing Agricultural University (China) in 2010. His research interests focus on the development of food packaging materials based on natural and renewable resources, and chemical modification of natural polysaccharides and their applications. He, as the first and/or corresponding author, has published over 100 papers. He is the Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate) in the field of Agricultural Science from 2022 to 2025. He is the Most Cited Chinese Researcher (Elsevier) in the field of Food Science and Engineering from 2023 to 2024. He is the Associate Editor of "Packaging Technology and Science", "Food Chemistry International", and "Frontiers in Food Science and Technology". He is the Editorial Board Member of "Food and Bioproducts Processing", "Journal of Renewable Materials", and "Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods".
